At Molly Moon Crafts it is deeply important to us to give back to our community and protect our planet! With every sale we donate to the Mojave Desert Land Trust! (MDLT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit taking on the greatest challenges facing the California desert, permanently protecting land, restoring habitat, and preserving native seeds. The vision of MDLT for the California desert includes dark night skies, clean air and water, broad views and vistas, and an abundance of native plants and animals.

DESERT LAND ACQUISITION AND STEWARDSHIP

Your support will have a lasting impact on the preservation of ecologically significant land within national parks, monuments, wildlife corridors, and areas of critical environmental concern.  Your support will enhance our ongoing partnerships with Indigenous communities as we work to safeguard culturally significant lands and integrate Traditional Ecological Knowledge into our stewardship and restoration practices.

NATIVE PLANT CONSERVATION

You’ll be a part of growing our native plant nursery, demonstration garden, restoration projects and conservation seed bank that is recognized as a vital partner in ensuring the survival of the ecosystem within our service area, contributing to the broader initiative of protecting 30% of the state's lands and water by 2030. Your support is paramount to preserving the genetic diversity of the region's flora for generations to come.

EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY PROGRAMMING

The desert holds a remarkable wealth of biodiversity, and your support plays a crucial role in our environmental education initiatives. These programs aim to connect people with the desert's natural wonders, going beyond its beauty to convey its ecological significance. This is essential in making sure our conservation efforts are not in vain. As a desert champion, you will help us engage the community, mobilize volunteers, offer internships to underrepresented populations, and advocate against the real-time threats challenging our desert.
